A very similar species to the Wild Strawberry, except that its prefered habitat
is shaded and semi-shaded areas.
It has slightly wider leaves with more prominant notches on the leaves,
and the upper leaf surface is hairy. The berries are edible.
Woodland Strawberries make a great groundcover for a moist shady area.

Coarsely toothed leaves, the upper notch is lower than the ones on either side. Small white flowers in spring, followed by edible berries. Found in open woodlands, moister grasslands.
